Choices on Cold and Hot Water Hose

September 19th, 2012 at 03:50 am

Cold and hot water hose is a necessity in our daily life. Now I would like to introduce some common types of hoses and see whether they could be used as cold and hot

water industrial hose pipe. Hope they will offer you some suggestion

when you are buying them.

As a new kind of hose, PPR hose has unique advantages. It could be used as both cold water hose and hot water hose. Meanwhile, it is so popular since it is non-toxic,

light, pressure resistant and corrosion resistant. Holt-melt technology is made use of on the interface of PPR hose so that hoses are integrated with each other. After

tests have been down on the PPR hose, it would not suffer from long time aging water leakage like what is the case with aluminum hose. Besides, PPR hose will not be

scaling.

UPVC hose is actually a plastic tube, and the interface is generally connected with glue. Due to the poor antifreeze and anti heat capability of the UPVC hose, it is

not suggested for them to be used as hot water industrial air hose.

Besides, the UPVC hose could not stand the heavy water so that it is not suitable to function as cold water hose, either. Under most circumstances, UPVC hose is used

as wire pipes and as sewage pipes. In addition, some scientists have discovered in recent years that chemical additives phthalate could be added to UPVC hose in order

to make them softer. On the contrary, such action poses poor effects on people's kidneys, livers and testicular, which may cause cancer, kidney damage and destruction

of the function of human body. Therefore it is not suggested for us to buy UPVC hoses as cold and hot water hoses.

As water hoses, the interior part of the galvanized hose would generate much rust after it has been used for a certain years of time. The yellow water coming out of

the hose not only pollute the ware, but also mix with the bacteria breeding from the non-smooth inner wall of the hose. The corrosion increases the heavy metal

proportion in the water, which is harmful to people's health. In the 1960s and 1070s, the developed countries started to develop new hoses and gradually banned the

usage of galvanized hose.

Not all hoses are suitable to be used as cold or hot water industrial hoses, therefore it is necessary

for us to maintain basic knowledge about cold and hot water hose for the sake of our health.
