How to Maintain the Pressure Calibrator

June 26th, 2012 at 09:54 am

1. The routine maintenance:

We only need to do a periodic visual inspection for the vacuum pressure gauge. Check the surrounding environment, to remove dust and dirt, to ensure that no liquid and other substances are in the pressure calibrator. And then, check the wiring and ensure if there have been newly installed strong electromagnetic field device near the pressure calibrator or installed wire across it. If the measurement of media is inconsistent with the pressure transmission medium that is provided by the pressure calibrator, it is necessary to isolate to use.

2. Faultfinding:

When we use, if there is a failure phenomenon, we must turn off the power of the pressure calibrator first, and check whether the connection of it and the calibration of instrument, which is by checked is right (such as pressure transmitters, differential pressure transmitter, etc.). Similarly, we need to check whether the electrical connections are correct, the 24VDC power supply is not reversed; the use of ranges is corresponding; the signal line is damaged, and the 24VDC output signal circuit is open.

If the pressure of the pressure calibrator cannot go up, there may be the problems, and solutions are as follows:

1. A possible reason is the pressure output of the diaphragm pressure gauge's quick connector type "O" ring of pressure hose is out, leading to the part of the output pressure do not increase. We should mat the ring.

2. It may not connect to the checklist of the pressure calibrator. The method is: use the M 10 * 1 plug to block the pressure output. And check the suppression of pressure itself. If there is leakage, it is the calibrator has leaked. If there is no leakage but cannot add pressure, it means the checklist did not connect correctly.

3. If the pressure calibrators both have positive pressure and negative pressure, it may be these two switches do not switch in the right place. When check the positive pressure, the switches should pull out. When check the negative pressure, the switch should be put into the right place.

4. The pressure calibrator may be ok on low pressure when put on pressure. High pressure booster of the hand pump is pop-up that cannot be pushed in. The feeling of resistance is very large. The hand pump must be pushed in the right place; the pressure can be one-way into the valve, to feel like a kind of collision of the piston and the front phase. That means the pressure pump is pushed into the right place.

5. It may be the pressure calibrator's cutoff valve is not locked; the stainless steel pressure gauge cannot hold pressure, which should be clockwise to tighten the valve.
